Ray DeLorenzi
Founder

Rebuttal was founded by Ray DeLorenzi, who has counseled clients from the halls of Congress to the courtroom in a wide range of civil cases and adversarial regulatory enforcement actions. Ray’s groundbreaking communications campaigns have helped clients achieve verdicts and settlements totaling tens of billions of dollars. 

Over the last 15 years, Ray has played a role in nearly every high-profile mass tort and class action. Whether working with disabled former athletes, sexual abuse survivors, or people injured by defective products, Ray has devised media strategies to help clients solve problems and obtain justice when facing the most difficult challenges and circumstances. For the past four years, he was honored by Lawdragon as a Global 100 Leader in Legal Strategy & Consulting.

Prior to founding Rebuttal, Ray was a partner at a DC-based public affairs and communications firm. Before that, he was communications director at the American Association for Justice (AAJ), formerly known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. At AAJ, Ray directed the association’s national media relations and grassroots efforts while serving as its on-the-record spokesperson. In addition to directing legislative and political issue campaigns, Ray also provided counsel to trial lawyers across the country on civil justice issues and cases from local courts to the U.S. Supreme Court. He also worked at AARP, providing media relations support on both legislation and the association’s line of products and services.

Ray is a graduate of The George Washington University and lives in the New York metro area.

Stephanie Wolf
Vice President

Stephanie is a seasoned communications professional with a proven track record of leading teams and navigating intense media environments during high-stakes litigation. 

Stephanie has a deep background in plaintiff side litigation spanning a diverse set of subject matter including sexual abuse, environmental justice, product liability, and healthcare. She began her career at a DC strategic communications firm where she worked on high-profile issues at the intersection of litigation and public affairs. During her time at a Columbus-based PR agency, she worked on communications strategy for law firms, B2B companies, and consumer services. Prior to joining Rebuttal, she worked at Ohio’s trial lawyer association, the Ohio Association for Justice, where she led the organization’s digital communications and marketing efforts.

While she has worked in numerous communications roles on a variety of subjects, the high stakes and important social justice issues that are the core of Rebuttal’s mission has always been the work about which she is most passionate. Stephanie especially enjoys working with plaintiffs who are facing extremely difficult circumstances, getting to know them and their stories, and advising their legal representatives on a strategy to successfully navigate the court of public opinion.

In 2024, Stephanie was named to the Advisory Board of the Society of Women Trial Lawyers, a nationwide organization of women trial lawyers and the people who support them. In 2023 and 2024, she was named to the Top 50 Women Leaders of Ohio by Women We Admire, an organization comprised of accomplished women executives and leaders across the U.S. and Canada.

Stephanie is a graduate of Ohio University and lives in Columbus, Ohio.

Katie Gommel 
Vice President
 

With a robust background in public affairs and strategic communications, Katie brings nearly 15 years of experience in crafting impactful narratives and navigating complex media landscapes.  

Katie leads media relations to support clients across a wide breadth of litigation including securities, product liability, commercial, and civil rights. Additionally, she works directly with plaintiff law firms to elevate their brand awareness through online marketing, thought leadership development, and proactive press outreach. Her experience includes developing and executing comprehensive PR campaigns for cases in front of the U.S. Supreme Court and navigating the public rollout of multi-billion-dollar settlements. 

Katie began her career at the America Association of Justice (AAJ) where she found her passion for fighting for justice and accountability. While at AAJ, she crafted communications campaigns across a number of issues including forced arbitration, medical device and drug safety, and trucking and auto regulation. She also supported the development of the association’s digital presence.  

Prior to joining RebuttalPR, Katie was a vice president at Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis on the social impact and advocacy team where she honed her skills in media relations, crisis management, issue advocacy, and content creation. She represented Fortune 500 companies, major nonprofits, and individuals across a variety of sectors including tech, healthcare, education, and policy. Previously, she served as a media strategist at the ACLU. 

Katie is a graduate of Stony Brook University and lives in Washington, DC.

Boaz Cohon
Director

Boaz Cohon is a Director with Rebuttal, who focuses on developing messaging and media strategy for law firms representing plaintiffs in mass tort and class action litigation. Boaz believes news media is an incredibly powerful tool for holding large corporations accountable. He takes pride in serving Rebuttal’s mission, working closely with attorneys and the people they represent to spotlight their stories and experiences. 

Prior to joining the Rebuttal team, Boaz worked as a media analyst, preparing comprehensive daily news briefings for top executives at Fortune 500 companies, which gave him an insider’s perspective on how corporate leaders respond to adverse media coverage. 

Boaz graduated from Vanderbilt University and lives in the Austin metro area.

Casey Elliott
Director

Casey Elliott is a seasoned strategic communications and public relations professional with a track record of securing media coverage for clients in some of the most prestigious outlets when the stakes are highest. With a passion for advocacy, Casey has extensive experience working on behalf of nonprofit organizations, legal and trade associations, patient groups, and small business owners.

Casey brings a unique blend of academic knowledge and practical experience. She expertise lies in helping clients navigate the complex world of public relations and advocacy with finesse and precision, while also translating complex policies and issues into compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences.

Casey's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, both earned from the University of Utah. She further honed their expertise by completing a Master of Arts in Strategic Communication from American University in Washington, DC.

Prior to joining RebuttalPR, Casey was the Director of Communications and Media Relations at a public affairs firm based in Washington, D.C. She currently resides in the Salt Lake City, Utah area.

Durete Thompson
Marketing Director

Durete Thompson is the Marketing Director at Rebuttal, whose primary focus is the firm’s marketing efforts, outreach to partners, and serving as a liaison to various trial lawyer groups and conferences.

Durete comes to Rebuttal from the American Association for Justice (AAJ), formerly known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. During her seven years at AAJ, she worked in multiple departments throughout the organization, leading various committees and key projects to increase and engage membership. She took great pride in managing the groundbreaking Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Academy, AAJ’s flagship program designed to provide leadership training to members – particularly those underrepresented within the association – to help make them more effective leaders in their law firms and communities. Durete brings with her the ability to create meaningful connections and her passion for advocacy for the plaintiff community.

Durete is a University of New Hampshire graduate and lives in Washington, DC.

Hannah Gallagher
Director

Hannah is a Director with Rebuttal, who focuses on media strategy and thought leadership for lawyers and law firms engaged in high-stakes litigation. Hannah is passionate about how media shapes public opinion and the need for informative news coverage on important topics. She is particularly interested in social justice and environmental issues where corporations need to be held accountable.

Prior to joining Rebuttal, Hannah was an Account Executive on the Edelman DC Energy team. At Edelman, she supported accounts with a focus on sustainability, electrification, and environmental justice projects. This experience allowed her to develop sustainability-focused communications strategies, create public educational campaigns, and build media relations plans for major companies and governmental agencies.

Hannah graduated from Northeastern University and lives in the mountains of Colorado.

Ryan Litner
Associate Director

Ryan is an Associate Director focused on executing marketing and media relations campaigns for Rebuttal clients. Ryan is passionate about helping our clients earn the attention and media coverage they deserve, to ultimately shed light on injustice and corporate abuse of power.

Prior to joining the Rebuttal team, Ryan was a B2B Technology Account Executive at SHIFT Communications. Ryan helped clients and their executives earn coverage in national and key trade publications around perspectives on notable technology developments like the rise of Generative AI. Prior to SHIFT, Ryan was a PR Coordinator at Colette Phillips Communications which focused on highlighting and celebrating diversity within the City of Boston.

Ryan is a graduate of the University of Delaware and lives in Boston.

Caroline Genster
Associate Director

Caroline is an Associate Director at RebuttalPR, specializing in crafting impactful media strategies and amplifying thought leadership for clients navigating complex issues. With a background in crisis communications and media relations, Caroline helps individuals affected by injustice effectively share their stories and secure the attention of key stakeholders.

Her diverse experience spans high-profile antitrust cases and supporting the launch and growth of pioneering healthcare and technology companies. Caroline has partnered with company and nonprofit executives, legal titans, and industry leaders to shape compelling public narratives, positioning them as trusted voices in their fields.

She is a graduate of Georgetown University and lives in Salt Lake City.

Dana Kenneally
Senior Associate

As a Senior Associate at Rebuttal, Dana enjoys combining her passions for media strategy and public relations with the goal of elevating brand awareness and championing justice for our clients. Dana is fueled by a commitment to share plaintiffs’ stories and hold corporations accountable.

Dana brings experience in strategic communications and government affairs to the RebuttalPR team. Prior to joining Rebuttal, Dana interned at Evergreen Strategy Group, where she integrated communication services for top national brands and non-profits. Dana's past roles also extend into the public and research sectors. She served as an immigration casework intern at the NYC Office of U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer, worked on a U.S. Senate campaign in Massachusetts, and conducted independent research on the intersection of gender, politics, and cable news through an undergraduate research program.

Dana is a proud graduate of Fordham University. She lives in New York City; however, she is still loyal to Boston sports teams.”

Sophie Stover
Senior Associate

Sophie has a multi-disciplinary background including experience in politics and government, public affairs and public relations, journalism, and renewable energy and sustainability. Her diverse set of experience equips her with a comprehensive perspective of such matters and the intersection between them, which drives Sophie’s approach to her work.

Prior to Rebuttal, Sophie was an account manager specializing in public relations and public affairs at a communications and government affairs firm in Des Moines, Iowa. While there, she created and executed communications campaigns for utility-scale renewable energy projects to clearly communicate to stakeholders the benefits of renewables in their communities. She also supported clients in B2G, B2B, and B2C capacities within a variety of industries such as transportation, education, financial services, and others.

Originally from Winterset, Iowa, Sophie graduated from the University of Iowa and lives in Washington, D.C.

Melina Psihountas
Associate

Melina, an associate at Rebuttal, is a strategic thinker and skilled communicator passionate about engaging audiences to drive action.

 Before joining Rebuttal, Melina was the Social Media Manager at Pinnacle Advertising & Marketing Group, working on social strategy, content creation, and PR for national brands such as Honda and WeatherTech. While freelancing, Melina worked on on-campus social media activation campaigns, and received millions of views on her Snapchat lens designs.

 Outside of work, Melina has been involved with organizations such as Amnesty International and Executive Women International. She also used social media on her college campus to lead and spread awareness of grassroots movements surrounding COVID-19 safety protocols and administrative accountability.

Candice Appiah
Associate

Candice is an associate at RebuttalPR. She’s curious about the ways technology, law, and media work together to influence and change underrepresented communities.

Prior to joining the Rebuttal team, Candice was a digital investment associate at Mediacom where she worked cross collaboratively across creative and finance teams to ensure successful ad activations. Candice also brings to the team experience in supporting political and strategic communications campaigns to the team through research and thought leadership for clients across the non-profit, B2B, B2C, and government sectors.

During her undergraduate career she held internships at Bloomberg Media, Deutsche Bank, and Jenner & Block exploring her interests in the intersection of technology, media, and politics.

She received her bachelor’s degree in economics, and film and new media studies, from Wheaton College. She was born, raised, and now works from New York.

Diana Nava
Senior Associate

Diana is a Senior Associate at Rebuttal. She is passionate about social justice and excited to make a positive and meaningful impact on the lives of others.

Before joining the Rebuttal team, Diana interned as a creative and strategic marketing intern for HBO Max. She researched and worked on the Emmys Campaign, selecting key art and writing podcast sponsorship scripts. She also assisted the marketing team in creating marketing materials for Somebody Somewhere season two. Additionally, she previously worked at Hone Strategies, a communications agency, where she compiled client coverage and conducted research on clients and publications. Diana also interned with the Duke Graduate School, Vot-ER, and Hometown Strong in North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper's office.

Diana graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and lives in the Charlotte area.

Gurleen Pabla
Associate

Gurleen is an associate at Rebuttal with an interest in exploring the intersection between public policies, the private sector, and how strategic communications influence change on a large scale.

Prior to joining Rebuttal, Gurleen worked as a political lobbying intern with The Advance Group, with a focus on client research and communication. She conducted research and tracked policies to develop campaign strategies for clients on several fronts, chiefly housing policy in the state of New York. She previously held a consulting internship with Kalik & Associates with a focus on political fundraising strategy for U.S. Congressional clients. In this role, she worked closely with political action committees and focused on donor data to develop fundraising strategies on the local, statewide, and national level.

Gurleen also held multiple positions in her university’s student government, including President of the student body. She is dedicated to influencing positive change and justice in all areas of her work. She has earned multiple awards for her service as a leader in civil discourse with a commitment to upholding her values and uplifting her community.

Gurleen is a proud graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is a California native residing in San Diego.

Blake Tousignant
Associate

Blake is an associate at RebuttalPR. He brings a versatile communications and design background to the firm, allowing our clients to reach new audiences through eye-catching and cohesive graphics, videos, and content creation.

Before joining the Rebuttal team, Blake volunteered for Kisha Cheeks and her political campaign in Chattanooga, TN, writing and editing press releases for numerous events and assisting the communications manager in liaising with press and media. Blake studied mass communications, graphic design and photography at Southern Adventist University, and managed different projects at his university including social media management, instructing students on how to use different Adobe Suite applications, being the lead copywriter for an advertising campaign, and assisting an organization on campus as their design director.

Blake resides in the greater Chattanooga area.

Allison Fagan
Associate

Allison, an associate at RebuttalPR, is a versatile storyteller with a diverse background. She has experience in managing and marketing social media for local businesses, writing for news publications on topics ranging from music festivals to politics, and assisting on film productions, most notably for an HBO television show.

Her recent achievement includes producing a short documentary for the Emmy award-winning show Arizona Illustrated on PBS. In this project, she collaborated with a budding politician to highlight the influence of community and the role of young voices in shaping American society. Allison is eager to leverage her storytelling skills and commitment to social justice at RebuttalPR.

Allison is a graduate of the University of Arizona and resides in New York City.
